I can see Clearly now the rain is gone
Clearly Music and Arts Festival is a unique event with a focus on wellness and community inclusion held annually in Kiama, NSW. The festival will bring together community from all walks of life for a day to create awareness and celebration of Australia’s roots with a strong focus on cultural inclusivity.
The inaugural three stage festival will be held on Saturday November 11th, 2023, at Kiama Showground.
The day before Clearly on the 10th November, we will be holding our Clearer Workshops.
Clearer Workshop will deliver a range of opportunities for the next generation of creatives who have faced multiple challenges in their formative years including bushfires, floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic. This project will bring together a community of like-minded people to help support the growth of aspiring artists. The inaugural workshop will be held November 10th at the Pavilion, Kiama Showground and is an integral part of the Clearly Music and Arts Festival program.
This program of workshops will bring together industry leaders and 10 emerging artists for a day of sharing and learning experiences.
Kiama is a beautiful seaside town on the South Coast of NSW, best known for its beaches and blowholes. It’s a favourite with families looking for a laidback holiday spot and surfers chasing world-class waves. Plus, you’ll find great food, plenty of history and some of the state’s most scenic ocean pools.
Clearly Music & Arts Festival and Clearer Workshop will enhance community benefit and economic development activity in Kiama and the NSW South Coast region. It will be an event for the local community to support, to be proud of and will create local jobs. The Kiama LGA tourism and visitation strategy supports activities that increase tourist activity in the region.
We humbly acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional owners and custodians of the land upon which we are gathered. We extend our gratitude to the Wodiwodi people of the Dharawal Country and Kiarama for their enduring connection to this land, rooted in their profound cultural and spiritual beliefs. We honour their ongoing relationship with the land, sea, culture, and traditional practices. In recognising the significance of this connection, we also extend our most profound respect to the Elders, both past and present, and future generations. We acknowledge the immense sorrow endured by the Stolen Generations and the enduring impacts of colonisation on the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
